Before too long, as much as 50% of computing power will be
devoted to security features of various sorts.
Most GNU/Linux distros are already significantly crippled
with security features and it will only get worse.
On a desktop workstation security is NEVER a concern and
should be completely eliminated.
But ONLY on GNU/Linux can all that security junk be completely
removed provided that the user "rolls his own" distro.
Yes. ONLY on GNU/Linux is this possible.
On Microslop/Apphole, the user can do nothing. NOTHING.
He'll get security shoved down his retarded, brain-dead throat
and thus will always be stuck with a crippled machine.
Now, having stated all that, I will get back to my security-free
GNU/Linux system and tear up the pavement at least 27% faster
than any security-laden distro.
Fuck the distro. Roll your own.

No. Your computer sucks. I'm doing just fine with openSUSE, I don't
need it to be perfect, it does the essentials well enough, and that's
all I require, because I have a brain. It alleviates the drag of
Winblows 11's bloat, and the goofiness of macOS's GUI, lets me enjoy
my computer properly. There's nothing better about your barebones
system.
