Apparently they've been filled. With an unemployment rate of 4% and more
Americans working than ever before in our history, jobs are not a problem. So
why are you trying to make jobs a campaign issue in an economy with a shortage
of labor?

The manufacturing recession of 2019 was a harbinger of a deeper recession to
come in 2020. But the pandemic beat it to the punch.

No matter how you slice it, the Biden administration has presided over the
creation of no less than 9 million new jobs. Enough new jobs to push the
participation rate up.

I recall the rate made great hay about the participation rate in the wake of
Bush's Great Recession. Now that the rate is rising, they seem uninterested in
discussing it.

FYI, before you try to pooh-pooh the raw number of job growth, do make
sure to keep it in context to your choice of comparison: the Keystone
pipeline. Its jobs creation numbers were vastly lower:

"In the report, the agency wrote that 10,400 estimated positions would
be for seasonal construction work lasting four to eight-month periods.
Since the State Department defines "job" as "one position that is filled
for 1 year," that would equate to approximately 3,900 jobs over a
two-year period."

FWIW, I think I read someplace years ago that the number of permanent
full time jobs from Keystone was something like fourteen (14).

Yes, nuclear would be nice to see too, but its LCOE is very high, which
makes it economically non-competitive vs solar/wind/battery.

The latest numbers I've seen aren't accounting for more recent battery
cost declines, but it listed them as:

$155 for Nuclear
$41 Onshore Wind
$40 Solar Photovoltaic.

For general reference, Coal was $109.

Normalizing Nuclear as 1.00, that's

Coal: 0.70
Wind: 0.26
Solar: 0.26

TL;DR: you can have 4x more Wind/Solar capacity for the price of Nuclear.

This goes a long ways to paying for battery to bank power and level out
its lower supply availability...even before noting studies which have
concluded that it is (well, was - because of battery cost declines)
cheaper to overbuild and curtail generation than to have huge battery
power banking to bridge...IIRC, the report I read said "7x" effectively
eliminates the need for a huge battery - - think it was something like
reducing the battery capacity ~tenfold, from 96 hours to 10 hours.

Exactly.
I've replied to these questions many times already.
Trump's plans are solid and make sense.
Kamala Harris has no plan She talks platitudes and happy, happy, joy, joy word salad.
The one plan she did sort of announce, price controls, got lambasted by both the left and right
because it is ridiculous and dangerous.

She knows absolutely nothing about how the economy works and she, by being the deciding vote on the
inflation reduction act, among others, is a direct cause of inflation itself.

recent available rate at the time Biden made these comments, was about 3.5%, up from about 3.2% the

In other words, Biden’s claims make it sound like inflation is much lower today than it was when he
was inaugurated – but it is actually higher, though there has been a steep decline since the June
2022 peak. (That peak followed Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, which sparked global
increases in energy and food prices.) And while Biden’s claims make it sound like the end of the
Trump presidency was plagued by high inflation, inflation was unusually low during Trump’s last
months in the White House amid the economic slowdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Similar to a previous false claim

Biden’s false claims in the past week about overall inflation are similar to a false claim he made
in October 2022 when talking about gas prices in particular. In both cases, he has wrongly depicted
a figure from June 2022 as if it was the Biden-era starting point.

A White House official said in a Tuesday email to CNN: “The President was making the point that the
factors that caused inflation were in place when he took office. The pandemic caused inflation
around the world by disrupting our economy and breaking our supply chains.”

The April 2024 inflation rate will be revealed Wednesday with the release of new Consumer Price
Index data. Separate Producer Price Index data that was released on Tuesday showed the highest
wholesale inflation rate in a year. '

Free hint, ma'am, as they always say, correlation doesn't prove
causation. Your quoting of the CNN article explains this, in fact,
that these economic factors aren't directly under the control of the
government or its leaders. If Trump had won in 2020, the inflation
would've happened under his watch. He lost, so it happened under
Biden's watch. Get over it, it's the world we're in. We're not gonna
vote for the antichrist because of some right-wing media scheme, to
tell us it will magically make everything "great". It's a lie. Voting
for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will keep us on track to continue

MAGAnoids aren't going to understand something that complex or nuanced.

Foreign aid is also a facet of national security. Taking actions contrary to US
interests is a good way to have your aid cut. The Egyptians discovered this
after they threw out Mubarak. The winning Muslim brotherhood made it very clear
they weren't going to abide by the Camp David accords and also started
persecuting Coptic Christians.

The US abruptly stopped aid payments (a billion a year to the military, the
lion's share of their budget at that time) so the military promptly threw out
the brotherhood and selected a US/Israel friendly guy to run the country in
order to get the cash flowing again.

Biden has assembled a solid and competent team. Not that I'm happy with

I don't care that she's female, I care that she's ASSuming that
Biden's policies caused the inflation, which is of course not the
truth, but if she wants to be a dumbass and vote for DJT, it's not my
problem, ultimately. People will vote the way they believe they'll
