homes. Currently it's Robert Anton Wilson's 'Prometheus Rising'. On the
first page he references Leonard Orr who postulated the brain has two
parts, the Thinker and the Prover. The Thinker can come up with almost
anything, hollow earth, Islam, Christianity, democracy, whatever. The
Prover has a full time job of assembling plausible explanations for
whatever the Thinker comes up with.

Wilson suggests a number of thought experiments to try to put yourself in
a realoty tunnel other than your normal.

there is delusion. I'm not saying I always know what is real in every
situation, but to me truth is objective, not subjective. My goal is to find
the truth, not an alternate "reality."

Agreed. I would probably register to vote if Tulsi Gabbard was on the
ballot. I don't agree with her on every issue, but I think she's honest and
forthright — and she's experienced war enough to know that's not what we
should be pushing on our kids (especially for the sake of making money for
private corporations). She also articulate. I wish Trump had picked her for
vice-president instead of Vance. Something doesn't look quite right in
Vance's eyes to me.

I haven't voted for Trump and I won't be registering to vote at all in this
election. I don't like voting for the lesser of two evils. I've never been a
partisan hack mindlessly rooting for "my" team.
