Just read this news last week...

"Android malware steals payment card data using previously unseen technique"

"“This is a new Android attack scenario, and it is the first time we
have seen Android malware with this capability being used in the wild,”
ESET researcher Lukas Stefanko said..."

Seems odd that its not been mentioned yet, particularly since COLA
fanboys invariably claim Android as Linux when it is good news. /s

In any event, the article notes that the malware was installed on the
infected device(s) "through traditional phishing scenarios", so its not
necessarily something that's as OS-specific. It does, however, still go
back to the longer-standing philosophical debates on the pros/cons of
employing "cultured garden" versus anarchistic freedoms.

Rule #1 is no banking or financial information on any phone.

The breach to be concerned about is the recent NPD breach which exposed millions of SS numbers.
That one is very serious..

Actually, Google is responsible for it, even the kernel, when it's
within a handheld Android device.
