> Or the working tax payer paying off college ;loans for lazy liberals?

Let's break down this idea of "working taxpayers paying off college loans for
lazy liberals." There are some misconceptions here, so let's clear them up:

1. **Who Actually Has Student Loans?**
Student loan debt isn't something that only affects one group of people, like
liberals. People from all political backgrounds, including conservatives,
independents, and yes, liberals, have student loans. Right now, over 43
million Americans are dealing with student loan debt, with a total of about
$1.75 trillion. These aren't just students or young people; they're everyday
folks from all walks of life.

2. **Why Do People Have Student Loans?**
College isn't cheap. Tuition costs have skyrocketed in recent years. For the
2023-2024 academic year, in-state public college tuition was around $10,560
per year, and private college tuition was about $39,400. Most families can't
just write a check for that, so they take out loans. And it's not because
they're lazy--it's because they want to invest in their futures and find
better jobs.

3. **Student Loans and the Economy**
Here's the thing: when people have a lot of student debt, it can actually hurt
the economy. If they're busy paying off loans, they might not be able to buy
homes, start businesses, or save for retirement. That affects everyone, not
just people with loans. If folks are spending less because of their debt, it
slows down the economy. Helping people with their loans could boost spending
and overall economic health, which benefits all of us.

4. **What's the Deal with Loan Forgiveness?**
Loan forgiveness isn't about handing out free money to "lazy liberals." It's
about helping people who are genuinely struggling with their debts. Many
proposals aim to help those who need it most, like low- and middle-income
borrowers or people who didn't finish their degrees but still have to pay for
classes they took. It's about fixing a problem that affects a lot of people,
not just a specific political group.

5. **Who Really Benefits?**
Loan forgiveness can help level the playing field. For example, Black college
grads owe more on average than their white peers, and women hold nearly
two-thirds of all student debt in the U.S. By tackling these disparities, loan
forgiveness can help create a more fair and equitable economy, which is good
for everyone.

### Wrapping It Up

At the end of the day, student loan forgiveness is a complicated issue with a
lot of layers. It's not about giving out handouts to one political group or
another; it's about addressing a widespread problem that impacts millions of
Americans. A more educated workforce and a stronger economy benefit everyone,
regardless of their political views. So, let's focus on finding solutions that
help all Americans, not just pointing fingers.

Fuck all that. You borrow, you pay back. That's how it works.

Snit is a lazy grifter who along with his ex common-law wife has been sponging off the US
government for handouts most of his adult life.
He feels that he deserves being taken care of and his myriad of imagined diseases allows him to
take advantage of the system.

Snit Michael Glasser doesn't take responsibility for anything.
It's always some other person's fault but never his own.
Hell, he's been stopped for lack of automobile insurance multiple times. This in and of itself
shows that he believes the laws do not apply to him.
So snit Michael Glasser is part of the problem.

If a parent wants to send their child to a private school, it seems only fair to
give them a school tax credit for at least part of the tuition. However, they

Much of that debt was compiled by adults and by students with only mediocre
grades. The for profit university epidemic of earlier in the century would take
anybody regardless of their academic skills. This, imo, bordered on rip off.

That's insanity.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

Trump has bragged often and publicly that he got rid of Roe. But now that Dobbs
has cost the GOP nearly every election they've had since, he's running away from
it as fast as he can. That's one of the reasons he's disavowed Project 2025.
It calls for a national abortion ban as well as a ban on contraception.

Cop does it right

The issue people have with me is I respond to those who troll. You have noted
it as well. It is a fair criticism but at least I own it. But then you have
folks like Skeeter and Pothead and Carroll / Glock and Gremlin who flat out
lie and troll and attack.

It is taking advantage of people who need a loan but then get horrid terms.
They should pay back what they borrowed and REASONABLE interest, but that is
it. And it should not be excluded from bankruptcies and the like.

I don't mind paying for parks I don't go to.

I don't mind paying for jail cells I don't use.

I don't mind paying to repair streets I don't use.

I don't mind paying for schools I don't have kids in.

We all live in a community, we all have an interest
in seeing it maintained for the benefit of all.
