Thanks for the blast from the past. The first time I was in the Elks Lodge
was to hear John Trochmann speak. He tried but as you might gather from
the clips he isn't much of a public speaker. The Militia of Montana never
had the organization that the Michigan group did. At the time I often wore
woodland pattern BDUs when hiking but switched to plain. I still have them
though.

Locally it was referred to as the Malicious even though many were
sympathetic. The Montana Freemen circus attracted unwanted attention to
the state and didn't help. The 'soveriegn citizen' people are one of the
nuttier groups. They try to present complicated legal arguments against
the people who wrote the laws while muttering about admiralty flags and
other obscure matters. After Waco and Ruby Ridge the Feds were on their
best behavior and camped out until the group gave up.

As far as the respect for the country sheriff, the sheriff to the adjacent
county to the south took the Feds to court over some of the provisions of
the Brady Bill and won.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printz_v._United_States

The co-plaintiff, Richard Mack, made a career out of it but Printz
quietly fulfilled the duties of his office until he retired.

Donahue managed to collect a fine passel of liberals for the audience
including the ADL weasel.

I was actually quite shocked at how readily the progressives in the
audience would dismiss and mock people who actually had their best
interests at heart in exchange for a momentary laugh from the
like-minded twits among them. I shouldn't be, especially since a
lifetime of exposure to these clowns had shown me that they are unable
of thinking independently and rely exclusively on group think, but the
knowledge that they were already that stupid in 1994 alarmed me. I guess
leftists in the early 20th century must have been just as dumb.

Like I said: they will gladly sacrifice every one of their liberties in
exchange for getting one of them back momentarily if ever they do
something their masters approve of. Whether they physically have any or
not, they don't have testicles.

Another unheeded warning about the rise of fascist pig and liar, feeble old
