Heh heh heh... Jolly Roger *hates* well-known facts about Apple products.

FACT:
If you create a new AppleID as of Feb2023, that new account *must*
use 2FA. You cannot, for the rest of your life, remove that 2FA.

Only Apple does that.

That is total bullshit. I have lots of financial and other accounts that
demand 2FA, no option out.

To be fair, I think he was talking about mobile phone manufacturers.

First off, I don't bullshit. I'm intelligent. I know the facts.
You may *hate* facts about Apple - but they're still facts about Apple.

Apple is the only common operating system vendor who *requires* 2FA
(for all new AppleID's which were created after February of 2023).

That's just a fact.
a. I accidentally found out that fact when I bought a bunch of new iPads
b. I set them up *without* and AppleID (which I did to test if it works)
c. And then I added an AppleID (because it's brain dead without it).

That's when I found out there is absolutely no way to NOT have 2FA.

Yet you say this is "total bullshit"?
Prove me wrong. Create a new Apple ID and tell me if it requires 2FA.

Try it before you say every fact about Apple that you hate is bullshit.

Almost always, when an Apple user brazenly denies facts about Apple, they
are either ignorant of what Apple does, or they hate what Apple did.

The fact is, after three hour-long support calls with Apple, Apple's rigid
policy is you can't create an AppleID on the web or on any device
(Apple or otherwise) and NOT have to set up 2FA (and you can't remove it).

No other common consumer operating system but Apple's is that desperate to
obtain your personal private information about your personal identity.

However, I'm wide open if you happen to know more than I do about this.
For example, try to create a new AppleID & tell me what you found out.

Hi badgolferman,

Thank you for understanding I was comparing with other operating systems.

I'm consistent on the Apple newsgroups in that I compare facts about Apple
to each of the other common consumer operating systems, as you are aware.

I happen to have most of those operating systems right in front of me.
Most of the ignorant Apple religious zealots have never used the others.

So they're completely unaware that Apple is the only common consumer
operating system vendor who forces 2FA upon you for the rest of your life.

Obviously I fought that requirement tooth and nail. And I lost.
To be clear, I contacted Apple Support at 800-275-2273 three times.

I spoke with six different people (three "Support Advisors" and three
escalations to "Senor Support Advisors") during those 3 hours of talk.

True to form that most people who own Apple products don't know a thing
about them, each of the "Advisors" initially claimed you don't need 2FA.

Then, in turn, separately, each of the three "Senior Advisors" checked with
Apple engineers and reported that it's impossible to create an Apple ID
with adding 2FA which is then required for life to log into the device.

One even went so far as to agree that if you want privacy from Apple, then
probably I should return the iPads and get something else, instead.

Because this is a FACT.
I wish it was NOT a fact. I really do. But it's a FACT.

You can NOT remove 2FA from any Apple ID created after February of 2023.

The question now, given the finality of that fatal flaw for privacy,
is what is the most private way for 2FA when you're forced to do it?

Little Arlen wants everyone to ignore the benefits of 2FA and pretend
that we all need to disable it on a regular basis, because: troll.

I repeat the FACT that of all common consumer operating systems, only Apple
requires you to have 2FA (for new Apple Id's) for the rest of your life.

*Apple _forces_ 2FA upon you*
*And Apple will _never_ let you remove it*
/For the rest of your life/

The fact Apple religious zealots are ignorant of 2FV, is rather telling.
They *hate* what Apple did so much that they call the facts, a troll.

FACT:

No other common consumer OS vendor would stoop that low to require that you
not only give Apple one of your most precious privacy identifiers for the
rest of your life - but also that you constantly carry around that second
device for the rest of your life - just to make use of Apple's operating
system (e.g., just to log into your AppleID to download and install apps).

Yet again, Apple takes your privacy away.
