He's right that, of all companies, Apple is the least trustworthy.

Since Apple _requires_ you to log into your account 24/7/365, if you don't
continually log into that account, Apple will unilaterally lock you out.

Christ, are people putting up with this shit, just for the great
privilege of running Apple's crapware? My self-assembled Linux box
(or Winblows, if I went back to it) gives me a lot more freedom.

I test phones and tablets. That's why I have iOS.

But that's why I'm well aware that there is nothing an iOS device can do
that Android doesn't already do - and yet - the opposite is not true.

There's so much that Android does that iOS can't do that it's just sad.

The iPhone is a barely functional toy which is set up as a dumb terminal.
Nothing works inside that iPhone unless you log into Apple's mainframes.

The iPHone can't even run a system-wide firewall, nor do automatic call
recording, nor can it re-install apps on another phone without the same
AppleID nor can it spoof gps location, nor can it provide real tor
anonymity, nor can it save photos given any desired file-naming format, nor
can it graphically debug cellular and wi-fi signals, nor can it set the
default dialer, or the default contacts manager or the default camera app,
etc.

The fact iOS can't do what every other OS easily does proves it's a toy.

Luckily, on Android all free apps install on any Android phone, which is a
valuable feature that apparently is "not needed" & "not wanted" only for
iOS (since every other platform easily installs any free installer on any
device, no matter what login ID is used on that device - except for iOS).

It's no longer shocking how much of a dumb terminal the toy iPhone is...

Why can't iOS save photos to a user-defined timedate format like Android?
Where are the wifi graphical debuggers on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the encryption container tools on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the automatic call recorder tools on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the system wide foss firewalls on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the fake gps spoofing apps on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the true ad free youtube clones on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the historical IPA backup tools on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where are the system wide foss ad blocking on iOS (hint, it's brain dead).
Where's the real foss torproject tor browser on iOS (hint, no privacy!).
etc.

The fact remains there is _zero_ app functionality on iOS not on Android.

The reason is logical, obvious, and devilishly simple in nature...
a. The _market_ determines the app functionality (not the OEM).
b. Apple drastically limits what apps the market can provide.
c. Google can't.

Do you ever organize your home screen the way you want on that Galaxy?
The iPhone can't do that.

Do you ever install an app onto that Galaxy after downloading that app APK
from another platform (and perhaps stored on a USB drive)?

Do you ever plug in your Galaxy over USB to a PC to copy files _to_ that

SMS/MMS messages on iPhones without logging into any Apple server. He
also wants to pretend that you can use other internet messaging services
like WhatsApp, Signal, and so on *without* logging into a server, which
