That is the legacy of the RCC doctrines that carried forward over the the
fence of the Reformation.
That mindset of that religion so fully infected the Truth of Jesus Christ
that the reformation which began via Luther and others took 100’s of years
to eradicate from the followers of Christ as their minds were not yet renewed
to the point where they should have been all along.

Anytime that mans theology overrides the spiritual understanding of God,
there is going to be great difficulties of which false teachers will take
advantage of. Mans theology separates and divides, God’s spiritual
understandings unifies. You can see part of the truth of that in these NG’s
wherein “religious” understandings are often backed by hatred for others,
contemptuous behaviors, discord, and no unity under the banner of Jesus the
Messiah.

Satan desires to sow the seeds of discord thus bringing shame to the name of
Christ. Which the ungoly, sons of satan, just gobble up laughingly, and thus
feel vindicated and justified in their behavior all the while heading for the
descent into the pit.
