That's nice (if you truly mean it), Dawn, but I am not trying to be
sweet. It is just the truth. And that is what really matters to me,
first and foremost, always, because the truth is God, and truth and only
truth alone sets a man or woman free.

So, in that sense, I am very much a humanist, a realist, and profoundly,
scientifically-philosophically set. Did you know that philosophy used to
be regarded as a science? Well, it still is in my book. Philosophy is a
science: the rational investigation of questions, existence, knowledge,
and ethics.

Y'know, all that stuff about meaning, purpose, satisfaction, fulfilment,
self-actualisation, and what is it all about Alfie—that which the badly
done by evolution animal world knows nothing about. :-). The kind of
stuff that is right at the forefront of a human being's mind if they
still retain some comprehension and cognitive function.

Unfortunately, atheists tend to lack in that arena. Sorry, not so sweet,
but if you know anything, that which is bitter in the mouth (truth) is
often sweet to the stomach.

A bit like that discipline business we have been talking about. :-).
