Fair enough, but unlike your others, that isn't bizarre. In the vocabulary of
the AV and KJV writers, "turtle" means not a sea tortoise but a bird, namely
what we now call the "turtle dove". For a contemporary example of this usage,
read the poem by William Shakespeare, "The Phoenix and Turtle" (which also is
not about a sea tortoise).
