Andrew, I would suggest rephrasing that.

I know that I believed with both thought and understanding. There is a word
many people are not knowledgeable in regards to our salvation and it is
“experiential”. Meaning that there is a real and viable experience, so
real that one knows that they know. Thus it is with the Lord. It is a sad
thing that many have not had that with Him. Sometimes we should, as
believers, do what we know to be correct according to the word, but it is
based on Faith, Faith that has already been established and the understanding
comes latter. God IS real.

Carnal is a word that few knows what it means other than those that have
heard it in church or looked it up in a dictionary. Most would know what you
mean when you mention our minds perhaps by delineating that with of the five
senses, the reality of the desire for the things of this world. Fleshly skin
n Bone as opposed to things of the supernatural world of Good and Evil.

Many are aware of evil spirits. Sooth sayers, witches, those that try to make
a deal with the devil for fame and fortune, those that deal with Voodoo,
druggies, even those that watch real spooky movies will feel the fear and
terror that comes from their visual experience. Then too there are places
where people know there is something real sinister, some blow it off other
shut it out of their minds, yet they know the reality of it.

The correct word is “sin”, he paid for our sins, relieving our guilt, so
that our heart no longer is burdened by it. Yet if we sinned against both man
and God, there may very well be a price to pay for reparations on this earth,
but the eternal punishment for it will no longer be, as the deed is blotted
out of the ledger sheet in heaven for which each is judged.

Just a few thoughts. I have no clue about the sincerity of the other person
or their understanding of what he may very well understand as Ying and Yang.
We di know that man does have the knowledge of Good and Evil ever since Adam
ate the fruit of that tree. And now think of themselves as gods. Judges of
all there is.
