The percentage of Americans who live on farms is only 2%, and the percentage of
Americans who work on farms is about 1.2% of all employed Americans.

In 2022, 22.1 million full- and part-time jobs were related to the
agricultural and food sectors—10.4 percent of total U.S. employment. Direct
on-farm employment accounted for about 2.6 million of these jobs, or 1.2
percent of U.S. employment.

https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/ag-and-food-statistics-charting-the-essentials/ag-and-food-sectors-and-the-economy/?topicId=b7a1aba0-7059-4feb-a84c-b2fd1f0db6a3

The puppy killer and ridiculous Melania lookalike Noem blabbered some bullshit
in quadrupling down on her bloodthirsty ways about "real Americans" being only
those who live on farms. In her disastrous sit-down with *friendly* Fox host
Stuart Varney, Noem let loose this nugget of bullshit:

“Well, I’ll tell you, Stuart, I’m sorry you’re not hearing from real
Americans that live on farms and ranches,” she fired back.

Now, the puppy-killer didn't expressly say that "real Americans" *only* live on
farms, but it's abundantly clear that she means it. In fact, Republiscums/QAnon
generally believe that all "real Americans" live in rural areas only, and that
cities are bad. However, only 18% of Americans live in rural areas
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rural_areas_in_the_United_States), and only *two
percent* of Americans live on farms (Sen. Chuck Grassley:

They do a pretty good job of feeding those who are too ignorant and lazy
to grow their own food.
