That clown Whoopi Goldberg even defended the troglodyte's right to hold and
express loathsome views, but of course she made a complete ass of herself in
doing so:

"I like when people say what they need to say—he's at a Catholic College,
he's a staunch Catholic," she said during the May 16 episode of The View.
"These are his beliefs and he's welcome to him. I don't have to believe them,
right? I don't have to accept them. The ladies that were sitting in that
audience do not have to accept them."

She also compared the situation to Colin Kaepernick's taking a knee during
the national anthem, explaining, "The same way we want respect when Colin
Kaepernick takes a knee, we want to give respect to people whose ideas are
different from ours."

https://www.eonline.com/news/1401851/why-whoopi-goldberg-is-defending-chiefs-kicker-harrison-butker-amid-controversy

She's misusing "respect." The word has multiple meanings. One is to hold someone
or something in high esteem. I respect my wife, my son, those few here who can
civilly express coherent opinions and POVs, and of course Joe Biden for being a
fundamentally decent human being. No one, of course, respects Donald Trump. Some
might fear him, and others will whore themselves to him, but no one respects the
person.

Another sense of respect is to acknowledge something and agree not to interfere
with it. I respect Hartung's right to hold and express ignorant, illogical,
unreasoned, bigoted and loathsome opinions, but I do not respect the opinions. I
hold all of Hartung's opinions in the lowest esteem, i.e., I hold them in contempt.

Goldberg fucked up and used the first sense of respect in talking about this
asswipe Butker's expression of his vile beliefs. It's fine if she respects his
right to hold and express them, but the opinions, like Hartung's, are contemptible.

As far as Kaepernick goes, I respect his motive but not his method. Wanting to
do something to force a change in policing, and to force the police as an
institution to start to behave in a way that recognizes that black lives *do*
matter — the cops and too many whites (Hartung again) act as if black lives
don't matter — is extremely admirable and praiseworthy. But I don't respect
Kaepernick's method. I think it was worse than worthless; it actually was
harmful to the cause.

When doesn't she?

There's no need to accept males who wear dresses and claim they are
females when they do or don't get their dicks sliced off either.

Anybody supporting that nuttery should be kicked outside the gates of
decent society permanently.
