There is *zero* doubt that the presence of lots of low-skill unauthorized
immigrants depresses the wages for farm labor below a level that American
citizens and authorized immigrants will accept to work in agriculture. But low
grocery prices is not an argument for allowing immigrants to enter the country
without authorization. Every reasonable effort should be made to prevent illegal
entry into the country and to remove, in a non-chaotic manner, those who are
here. NOTE: "reasonable" means "no $100 billion wall."

1. secure the border; stop unauthorized entry
2. create a temporary worker program
3. gradually but steadily, locate and deport unauthorized immigrants

No president has done that.

Why didn't Trump do that before?

Mostly because Trump is a failure. But doing it requires congressional action.

Supposedly. I don't believe those numbers, and you have nothing to support them.

The fact that it costs money doesn't mean it should not be done. Lots of things
that should be done cost money, and *you* support spending the money to do them.

High grocery prices was often used as an argument for voting for
Trump. If wages in the agriculture sector go up, it will inevitably
lead to even higher prices.

I'm sure Elon Musk could build it for $100 million. He could build it
on Mars in 2027, if he wanted to. He's a genius, you know.

How would you implement that?

A lot of things need to be done right for it to not depress wages.
https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/forbrn.pdf
"In 2023, median usual weekly earnings of foreign-born full-time wage
and salary workers ($987) were 86.6 percent of the earnings of their
native-born counterparts ($1,140)."

It seems like the legal status of the foreign workers is not the
determining factor when it comes to the level of the wages.

May I also suggest

4. Stiff penalties for those, who knowingly employ illegal immigrants?

Suppose you do deport them all,
what then?

Housing prices will go up, grocery
prices will go up, hotel and hospital
prices go up, and the illegals will
STILL find a way across because that
is what they do.

No wonder Reagan granted amnesty to
the illegals, America cannot afford
the alternative.

"Just seal the border" reminds me of
Greg Abbott's solution to rape pregancies,
that is to say, just eliminate rape.

Greg Abbott Said He'd "Eliminate Rape" to Justify an Abortion Ban.

From *your* source:

Researchers agree that illegal immigrants overwhelmingly have modest levels
of education — most have not completed high school or have only a high school
education. There is also agreement that immigrants with this level of
education are a significant net fiscal drain, creating more in costs for
government than they pay in taxes.

The NAS estimated the lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used)
of immigrants based on their educational attainment. Averaging those
estimates and applying them to the education level of illegal immigrants
shows a net fiscal drain of $65,292 per illegal — excluding any costs for
their children.2

Based on this estimate, there is a total lifetime fiscal drain of $746.3
billion. This assumes 11.43 million illegal immigrants are in the country
based on the U.S. government's most recent estimate.

The fiscal cost created by illegal immigrants of $746.3 billion compares to
total a cost of deportation of $124.1 billion, assuming a FY 2016 cost per
deportation, or $67.6 billion using FY 2012 deportation costs.

So the net fiscal effect of not deporting them vastly exceeds the cost of
deporting them. Your case is demolished.

But you never had a case anyway. There are lots of things you think should be
done that cost money with no fiscal return.

Then we won't have the social and political irritant of having a huge population
of non-citizens who are here without authorization. You seem to be unaware that
that was a big part of the Democrats losing the presidency and returning the
corrupt felon and insurrectionist to office.

See above about more effectively securing the border. Yes, some number of
unauthorized immigrants will still leak through the border, but many fewer.

That's not why it was done, and Reagan didn't do it. Congress did it.

I’m never smoking weed with immigrants again, I asked "Anyone have any
papers?" and they all ran like fuck. I hate immigrants, if I could find
a country that didn't take immigrants in I'd move there.

So Americans with only high school
educations are a "drain" that "costs

Is that what this boils down to? Brown
people doing jobs white people won't is an
"irritant"?

You said that already. Why do you dishonestly, and in bad faith, ignore the
*other* part of your citation that proves that *not* deporting them costs more

No, it's not a forgery

If there is a cock to suck
Then Rudy is your guy
He may past retirement age
But still he's pretty spry
He has no trouble getting down
Upon his bony knees
And sucking on your schwanzstucker
With practiced skill and ease
Don't hesitate to get your nut
Into his soft white mouth
'Cuz he's the best no matter where
East, west, north, or south!
So come down to the Jolly Kone
You know he knows the owner!
And let him do his magic
On your incredible stiff boner!
