Conservaturds always want to follow old bad traditions simply *because* they are
traditions. Here's why that's bullshit.

In an experiment, five monkeys were placed in a large box with a ladder. On top
of the ladder were some bananas. When one monkey started up the ladder to
retrieve the bananas, the experimenters sprayed all of the monkeys with icy cold
water. Eventually, whenever a monkey started up the ladder, the other four would
pull him back down and beat him up. All of the monkeys stopped trying to go up
the ladder.

Then one of the original five was removed and a new monkey put into the box.
When the new monkey started up the ladder, the remaining four (who had been
sprayed with cold water) would pull him down and beat him up. That monkey
stopped trying to climb the ladder.

One by one, all of the original sprayed monkeys were removed from the box and
replaced by new monkeys. Each new monkey was beaten up when he attempted to
climb the ladder, and he stopped his attempts. Eventually, all of the original
monkeys who had been sprayed were gone, and only monkeys who had never been
sprayed remained. But the beatings of new monkeys continued.

All of the monkeys stopped making attempts to climb the ladder, even though none
of them knew the original reason — ice-water sprays — that attempting to climb
the ladder was punished.

This is the way conservaturds think: they revere tradition even though they have
no understanding why or how the tradition originated. Conservaturds are
basically lower apes.
