This is simple.
The first time you get convicted of rape you are imprisoned and the rehabilitaion
process begins.

the second time you get convicted of rape your testicles are removed and you are forced
to eat them.

Same thing for theft.
You get one chance.
The next time your hands are cut off.

Problem solved.

Yep.
That's how Giuliani cleaned up NYC. Actually Dinkins deserves some credit
as well.
Very tough on crime.
Various squads, like gang focused for example, patrolling.
Stop and frisk.
Harsh sentences on repeat offenders.
etc.

Word spread quickly among the underworld and after some tested the system
and found out that Giuliani wasn't kidding around crime rate plummeted in
NYC as the perps relocated to other, more soft on crime, places to ply their
trade.

And Bloomberg left things alone so the city remained safe and a wonderful
place to visit and live.

Enter Marxist mayor DeBlasio and his crooked wife.
He did away with the Guiliani policies and implemented cashless bail and
revolving door justice and we now have a city that is quickly becoming
unlivable.

Do the crime.
Do the time.
And that time will be hard time.
It's all the perps understand.

The problem is with North Korea the border walls are to keep the people IN..
ours on the other hand would be to keep them OUT.

Of course, since significant differences are beyond Rudy's comprehension,
but then virtually everything is.

Meanwhile, I will simply acknowledge that Rudy could only offer this lame
rebuttal to my logic.

I'm curious where the Constitution says invaders can't be removed.

>> The US Supreme Court, Zadvydas v. Davis (2001)

Great..
Says, nothing about us not removing them and it should take about 5 minutes
to establish the person is not a citizen, legal resident or here on a visa..
and which point deportation can proceed particularly if they were just
caught illegally entering.

Of course, if we make it very hard to enter.. then no due process is needed.

Built the wall.

As usual Rudy responds with unsupported assertions along with smoke and
mirrors.. none of which collaborate his claims.

Well, one could claim the law does, but without the law everything would be
legal and your life wouldn't be worth anything.

Somehow, I bet it wasn't just the $5,000 that was taken.. I'm pretty sure
one or more people died due to a direct result of that crime. It is those
deaths that put you in prison without parole.

> Does it make sense to imprison someone for having robbed a bank for 5K

Well.. we could always just execute them.

However, show me a case were someone was given like just for robbing a bank
of 5K... can't be for any other crime just the robbery of the money.

If you can't.. then your argument is facetious.

That's not the problem, scooter. The problem is that North Korea is a despotic
dictatorship, and that is the only reason they don't have due process. What you
are calling "BS," scooter, is due process and the rest of the rule of law that
makes the U.S. civilized, and the lack of which makes North Korea a shithole.

You're just not going to get your way, scooter. The due process that makes our
justice system relatively just is not going away. We are not going to have
summary executions of people you consider undesirable, scooter.
