Donald Trump became the first U.S. president, current or former, to be
convicted of a criminal offense when a 12-person jury in New York on May 30
found him guilty on 34 felony counts of business fraud as part of an
illegal scheme to influence the 2016 election by making payments to
suppress a sordid tale of sex with a porn star.

Thanks to this case right now under US law we can convict anyone of a
cover-up without even enough to get a conviction for any crime they were
supposedly covering up.

And let's take a look at what it took to get Trump's conviction..

A prosecutor who was milking it for the money she could scam from it,
Politically motivated.
And then a total farce of justice.
The felony charge depended on a conviction of at least 1 of 3 criminal
charges made.
The jury could not reach a unanimous decision of guilt for any single charge
for the crime he was accused of (the cover-up)

This should have been the end of the trial.

But NO... the judge then, in total contradiction of American jurisprudence,
tells the jury they do not have to agree unanimously on any one crime, just
as long as each of them can decide he committed at least one of the crimes
he was charged with and it doesn't have to be the same one.

In short I could get 6 votes for charge A, 5 votes for charge B, and 1 vote
for charge C and even though he's not been found guilty of any single
crime.. they can agree he committed 'some' crime even though they aren't
sure what crime it was.

In short, if we can bring enough criminal charges and convince 12 different
people that you committed some crime, even though we can't establish which
crime you're actually guilty of.. that's good enough for you to be convicted
of a crime that depends on you having committed a crime even though we
couldn't get a conviction for ANY of the crimes you were accused of trying
to cover up.

The old throw enough shit and hope enough sticks form of prosecution.

The sort of thing we would expect in an tyrannical form of government..

Well, that is what America has just become. We can now convict you, or
anyone, of having committed a crime based on the fact that a jury of your
peers feel you must have committee SOME crime even when they can't decide
upon which crime that would have been.

So despite the fact he was found non-guilty on ever criminal charge by a
jury of his peers.. he was convicted of a cover-up because they all agreed
he violated SOME crime.. even though they couldn't decide on the crime he
was supposedly covering up.

Putting the cart squarely in front of the horse

So now everyone is guilty of hiding their crime, even though we don't know
what that crime was.....

Now.. let's put Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and Barack Oma on trial under
similar conditions.. I bet we can get convictions on them as well.. because
now we don't actually have to prove they committed any crime just as long as
we can convince 12 different people they committed SOME crime. that would
make them guilty of the cover-up of whatever crimes those might have been.

various of his companies/organizations have been held liable for several frauds.
