Seems like it. It's just a different faith.. I mean they even have their own

True, you have to give him that. I tend to be more of an agnostic type of
person. I would acknowledge the possibility of one or more entities which
would be god like, but currently we have no true evidence of such being(s).
However, if our thoughts about the size of the Universe is anywhere close to
being true, and the time that the Universe is thought to have existed..
there could be entities that are as far above us, as we are above ants.
So who is to say otherwise? We do things today that in the middle ages would
have you burned at the stake for being a witch/warlock as it would seem like
magic.

I try to objective and logical, don't always succeed, but I do attempt it.
Which is why I pester Baxter so much on his claims that lack any proof or
even reasonable basis. Further I dislike how he dismissed contrary evidence
and proofs that conflict with his beliefs. We should be able to establish
what we know to be true.. and then accept the rest is a matter of faith.
What is amusing about Baxter is that even in his faith.. he regularly
contradicts himself.

Faith is based on belief.

Baxter believes he can post an intelligent remarks on the newsgroups. He
has great faith. :-).

Baxter is trying to contrast our consciousness with a dog's
consciousness. They are obviously not the same, but the existence of
simple "belief" is present in animals; they can't survive without it.
