How can they excuse these wedding practices from the same religious source
and same reasons ?

1. bride maids fdressed alike.

2 The brides dress color and use of a vail.

3. Use of and exchange of rings; and the finger upon which it is worn.

4. the brides bouquet of flowers.

5 having and cutting a cake and passing it around.

Why pick the confitti/rice item from among the others?

For servant's readers,

As per weddings, the JW Bible organization, basically leaves it up to
the couples getting married, to determine what takes place.

For some, it just may be a Justice of the Peace, and then go home. For
others, more things added.

So don't get yourself all worked up worrying about JW Weddings. They
do Scripturally fine with them. Notice:

"Weddings of Jehovah’s Witnesses often consist of a simple and
dignified ceremony that features a brief talk based on the Bible. The
ceremony may be followed by a social gathering, or reception, which
may include a meal. a Jesus attended such a feast in the city of Cana

I never had bride maids.

I don't remember what color her dress was.

I already answered that one earlier.

Never had it.

I believe at the time, my wife's mother and her side of the family,
prepared the eatables. And many JW's brought some things to eat.

Not at my wedding. But if the Devil had his way, instead of rice, they
would throw manure at the couple.

Now that was just my experience. Other brothers might have done things
differently. And we married at the local Kingdom Hall which was
"packed to the grill".

And you forgot to mention music. We had music playing at ours. And if
I remember correctly, the music was Kingdom Songs.
